Appraisal Offices Go Live with Prodigy Appraisal with a Completely Remote Installation
(Dallas) Monday, February 15, 2021
True Prodigy adds two appraisal districts to its list of installed clients using Prodigy Appraisal. The installations are now complete for Val Verde CAD and Maverick CAD. Despite the issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic this year, True Prodigy was able to implement Prodigy Appraisal at both offices over the past few months. All aspects of the installation, including training, were completed remotely. This approach allowed True Prodigy to continue to deliver on its implementation schedule even is the challenges introduced due to the pandemic and the recent winter storms.
Maverick County Appraisal District, located in Eagle Pass, Texas, has a staff of 13. They have 35,000 parcels in their district and represent 4 taxing units. Val Verde County Appraisal District, located in Del Rio, Texas with a staff of 12. They have 37,200 parcels with 6 taxing units.
Prodigy Appraisal represents a new generation of computer-aided mass appraisal (CAMA) software for the state of Texas. This new software combines a modern software development approach with the latest capabilities including web-app stack design, cloud computing, open API, data visualizations, business intelligence, mobile-readiness, responsive design, and many other innovative features that modern appraisal districts need today. This development methodology leverages continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices that allows True Prodigy to release software at a faster pace than what was previously possible by legacy providers.
“With True Prodigy offering cloud-based solutions, it only makes sense that our installation, implementation, training, and support follow the same cloud-based approach. This process of an entirely remote installation is a relatively new concept, but one that offers extensive benefits for both the customer and the True Prodigy staff. Customer staff have the ability to not only work remotely using our cloud-based applications, but they have the option to participate in remote training sessions as well,” explained Osvaldo Morales, True Prodigy CEO. “True Prodigy is in the process of installing three additional districts that will be live later this year using a similar approach.
