Looking Back to a Successful 2020: True Prodigy® Completes Two Additional Installations at Texas Appraisal Districts
(Dallas) Monday, October 19, 2020
Two additional Texas Appraisal Districts, Potter-Randall and Webb County, completed their transition to Prodigy Appraisal in late 2020. Given the challenges with the pandemic and the extreme Texas winter over the past year, these districts were able to transition to the cloud-computing platform which allows for remote working to help the office staff better serve their communities regardless of work location.
Potter-Randall Appraisal District, located in Amarillo, has 39 employees, over 145,000 parcels and 29 taxing units. Webb County, located in Laredo, has 60 employees, over 149,000 parcels and 12 taxing units. As both offices have completed their appraisal notice cycle, they have now transitioned to the appeals process. These processes are being handled through the Prodigy Appeals Module, Prodigy Public Portal, and Prodigy Queue.
“When these two districts first selected True Prodigy as their software provider, they had no way of knowing how important these new features, especially the cloud-computing platform, would be for their offices. No one could have predicted the events of the past year with any certainty but we can all look back now and see how the events underscore the importance of having software that is built for the future, built for adaptability,” explained Osvaldo Morales, True Prodigy CEO. “Outdated, legacy technology wouldn’t have helped anyone in these conditions. I am proud to say we have been able to help our clients better adapt to the events of the past year based on the features Prodigy Appraisal provides.”
Prodigy Appraisal represents a new generation of computer-aided mass appraisal (CAMA) software for the state of Texas. This new software combines an agile software development approach with the latest capabilities including web-app stack design, cloud computing, open API, data visualizations, business intelligence, mobile-ready, responsive design, and many other innovative features that modern appraisal districts need today. This agile methodology allows True Prodigy to release software at a faster pace than what was previously possible by legacy providers.
True Prodigy is in the process of installing two additional districts in the first part of this year, with three more installations later in the year. New signed clients are being scheduled for 2022 and 2023. If you are interested in learning more or securing an implementation date, please contact us.
